An online database of more than 6,500 national funders of nonprofits, plus all current federal, state and many international grant opportunities, is now available free of charge to members of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) through a GrantStation association membership program.

This partnership between LANO and GrantStation is underwritten by Regions Morgan Keegan Trust and provides individual access to the comprehensive grantmaker database starting Monday, November 7, 2011 and extending until October 15, 2012.

All current LANO members and any organization or individual who joins LANO during this period will be given access to this important fund development resource.

The one-year GrantStation partnership represents a $599 value to LANO members versus GrantStation's non-member access fee. [Tour GrantStation!]

LANO encourages all nonprofit organizations looking to expand their fund development and grant research capacity to please join or renew their LANO membership quickly to take full advantage of this limited-time offer.

GrantStation offers easy searching within the following fund databases:

  • U.S. Charitable Giving Database – Lists thousands of funder profiles, including independent, family, community, and corporate foundations; corporate giving programs; faith-based grantmakers; and, associations with grantmaking programs. These profiles are searchable by geographic focus, areas of interest, and types of support.
  • Federal Grants & Loans – Updated Monday through Friday and offers detailed program, contact, and application information on numerous U.S. federal grant and loan opportunities. Archived announcements are also available. These profiles are word searchable and categorized by deadline date.
  • State Grants & Loans – Provides an individual profile for each state and is comprised of links to state departments and agencies that administer grant and/or loan programs. This section also links to quasi-state agencies such as the state arts council, humanities forum, children's trusts, etc.
All current LANO member organizations and individuals are already enrolled and will receive an email on Monday, November 7, giving them a user-name and temporary password that will provide full access to the database, while their membership is active, through October 15, 2012.

One user ID will be provided each member organization and will be sent to the primary contact for that organization.
